RE: You Spent A Wad For That
Computer - Get Your Money's
Worth
I'm no mind reader, just a former
school teacher, but I'm wondering if you
fall into one of the following categories
of computer users:
 |
You know what you
want to do, but you have no idea
how to do it. |
 |
You know there are
shorter, easier ways to do things
but you don't know what they
are. |
 |
You can cruise the
internet and send email, but that's
about
it. |
You're not alone. If you ask around, you'll
find that most of your friends and associates
barely know how to send and receive
emails.
Help Is At
Hand
At last there is help for people
who are using Windows® and Microsoft
Office Suite programs or at least
Microsoft Word®, Outlook® or Outlook
Express® and Internet
Explorer®.
You all ran out and spent a
substantial amount of money on a computer
that was supposed to make your life
easier, but what you got was a lot of
frustration. Just getting that rascal out
of the packaging was aggravating enough.
Then you had to figure out how to get it
connected up and running.
And if you are like the rest of us, you didn't
find a teacher inside the computer box to show
you how to use your brand new
investment.
Me either.
But I am a teacher at heart, and
I have been learning the quick, easy way
to do things on computers for almost as
long as they have been around.
Over the years I have developed
a huge collection of computer tips and
tricks, all designed to make using my own
computer use a more pleasant
experience.
Now, all my hard work can
benefit you.
|
The night I bought
this ebook, it was so late, I
thought I would just peak at the
table of contents, then go to bed.
But I couldn't stop reading. 2
hours later, at 1 am, I had to
force myself to stop reading
it!
I am comfortable
with computers and I do
many different types of
projects. I was expecting
to know most of the tips
in the book.
Wrong.
Tip # 9, Undo
Multiple Actions, was
worth the price of the
whole book. "Open with
What", "Format Painter"
and "Email Line Width"
are extremely valuable
and could have saved me
weeks of time over the
past years.
The tips cover
an amazing range of
simple vital tasks that
are not all commonly
known. "Magic" Mary
Austin knows them all and
has offered them to the
public at a great price.
I found it very easy to
read, understand and
apply on my
computer.
I have wasted
endless hours of work
doing what 2 clicks could
do! Not to mention the
money I can now
save!
I am stunned at
the generosity shown with
the offer of the bonus
ebooks. I have paged
through a bit of each one
and I am amazed at the
wealth of info packed in
them. I can see great
value in them.
Thanks again
"Magic" Mary!

I used to spend a lot of my
time explaining to friends and business
associates how to do things on their computers.
Not a day would go by without someone emailing
me with a question. Somewhere along the way
somebody said, "Hey, you ought to put all this
information into a book. It would help a lot of
people."
And
that is exactly why I created the ebook,
Computer
Help For Busy
People.
Just a few minutes
from now . . .
you can have
your own copy of this handy resource. This
ebook will be delivered to you almost
instantaneously, and will stay on your own
computer, ready to help with just a click
of your mouse.
Jam-packed with more than 100
easy tutorials, tips and tricks, this
book will help you get the most from your
Windows PC.
And I guarantee that you will
learn some tricks that even your kids
don't know.
First, you get a few of the most
basic of basics like, Click and Drag,
Drag and Drop, Copy and Paste, because
these are so fundamental and there are
plenty of you who never learned these
time-saving basics.
And those who think they already know those
tips will discover there are some shortcuts you
didn't know.

You will find the ebook is
incredibly easy to use.
Computer Help For Busy
People is formatted just like
an open book. You can work through the tips one
at a time, or zip right to the one you need.
The Table Of Contents is readily
accessible by tab, so you can find
the tip you need quickly and easily. You can
even print out a Tip if you want.

Solutions
Have you ever had someone email
a file to you, and then you couldn't open
it? I tell you what to do in Tip
12.
If I asked you to tell me what
version of Microsoft Word you use, could
you tell me?
(hint: I don't mean XP or 2002) That
question won't stump you anymore.
Could you tell me how much RAM
you have or what processor your computer
uses? You will be able to find that
information easily any time you need it
after you get through Tips 5 and
14.
Do you get confused by all the
different file extensions like .exe,
.pdf, .txt, .dot, .wav and so on? Tip 12
will clear it up for you.
Do you really understand the
difference between Save
and Save As commands?
Tip 7 will show you a use for the
Save As command that
I'll bet you never even thought
of.
And that's just a tiny portion
of what is covered in the
Basics
section!
Customize Your Computer Just The
Way You Like It in Windows
XP!
Next, I give you ways to
customize your computer for your own
taste and comfort.
|
I got up
this morning, turned on
the old computer and
discovered that my
husband had been messing
with the size of the
icons, print, and even my
solitaire
cards!
Did he think I
wouldn't notice? How
could I work when I
couldn't see what I was
creating?????
So, I almost
picked up the phone to
ask, how do I undo this
stupidity, when I
realized I had your book.
In the Table of Contents
I found "Resize Desktop",
followed the steps, and
undid his
foolishness.
So easy...then I
really got creative, used
your instructions to
customize my folders with
new icons.
I am discovering
that using a computer is
REALLY fun and no longer
just a pain in the ___.
THANKS!

easily spot an email from someone special (best
friend, or your spouse serving in the military
or your child off at college, etc) you can
color code their emails and/or have them route
automatically to a special folder. Tips 34 and

of it. There are more than 100

tutorials you learn several related
actions.

movie!
|
Well,
finally an ebook that is easy
to read, easy to apply and has
made my life
easier.
Mary Austin's
Computer Help for
Busy People is a
find!
I am a
work-at-home
professional, so I never
had a "job" where I could
learn to use a computer.
The book has been a
tremendous help to me
since my computer skills
leave a lot to be
desired.
I think that
anyone who thinks that
their time is valuable
will appreciate this
book.
Many thanks,
Mary.

Terrific Timesavers in Microsoft
Word
Many of these tips are huge time
savers.
For instance, do you have a well
worn Thesaurus at home? Your computer can
find the words you want faster than that
old book.
With just a mouse click you can
get a list of synonyms for any word in a
Microsoft Word document. You'll learn
that from Tip 82. (This feature just
showed me eight alternatives for the
word, "document").
Tip 85 instructs you how to
create a template for any document you
want to use over and over. Create it once
and never have to create it again. You
can create fax cover sheets, memos,
letter head and more.
I also show you how to find and
use the templates that are probably on
your computer but you didn't know they
were there.
Magic Typing
One of my favorite tips is
number 98. I show you how to use a little
known Microsoft Word feature to save
yourself a lot of time and typing. If you
have a long string of words you type
often, (the name of your company, church
or organization for instance) you can
instruct your computer to type it for
you.
On my computer, whenever I type
chc and hit the space bar, my computer
replaces those letters
with, http://www.thecomputerhelpcenter.com
It's so easy to do, you 'll
start using Tip 98 right away.
Quick Fixes For Typing Boo
Boos
Have you ever accidentally left
the Caps Lock feature on and typed a
bunch of sentences before you caught the
mistake?
Then you will LOVE Tip 84 when
you see how easy that can be fixed (and
it doesn't involve the Format
menu).
I know lots of people who use
the Print Preview feature in Microsoft
Office programs like Excel or Word. It
really helps to get a glance at what a
document will look like when printed, or
how much of an Excel spreadsheet is
actually on the page.
But did you know that you can
edit your document in the Print Preview
mode? Check out Tip 87 to learn
how.
Are you ready to get the help
you want? I haven't even told you about
the Microsoft Office tips or MS Internet
Explorer tips, or the long lists of
resources that are included.
You can't go wrong for the low
price of $27.

Scroll Wheel
Savvy
If you have only been using the
scroll wheel on your mouse to scroll up
and down a page, you haven't been getting
your money's worth.
I'll
show you how to use your scroll wheel
to
 |
move through the
pages of a document |
 |
enlarge or reduce
the text on a page you are
reading |
 |
navigate through a
website |
I'll also share several navigation
tricks you can do with the arrow keys on
your keyboard.
There is so much loaded into
this ebook, you just won't believe it. I
have had so many people tell me that I am
not charging enough for it, and I know
they are right.
But
for now, I want to get this help out to
as many people as
possible. Eventually I will raise
the price to the market value of
$47. But for now, you can own your
own copy for only $27.
Internet Power
I know that
you spend time on the internet so I included a
bunch of tips to make you into a Power Internet
Cruiser.
You'll learn
 |
What to do when you
get that "404 Page Not Found" error
message. |
 |
How to print a web
page without wasting a lot of
colored ink. |
 |
How to find
something on your book-marked
"Favorites" list lightening
fast. |
 |
How to put a
shortcut to a website right on your
desktop or taskbar. |
 |
and much
more. |
Do you bookmark web sites on
your computer at work and wish you could
bookmark it for your home computer at the same
time? Read Tip 73 to learn how.
You will find tons of helpful tips that work
across most Microsoft applications. I am so
sure that this ebook will be invaluable to you,
and you will be so pleased, that I will give
you my personal guarantee.
